NATCHEZ – Services for Mattie Thompson Woods, 64, of Metairie, who died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at East Jefferson Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Sinai Baptist Church, in Sibley, with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Monroe.
Mrs. Woods was born May 31, 1943, in Natchez, the daughter of George and Laura Thompson. She was employed at Wimbley Tire Company and retired in 2002. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Margaret Wilson and brother, Little Gene Thompson.
Survivors include her daughters, Antionette Woods of Metairie, Shelinda Thompson of Clayton, Shelia Wiley and Melissa Thompson, all of California; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; seven sisters and nine brothers; two aunts, Julia McFarland and Mary Lou Dixon, both of Natchez.
