NATCHEZ — Services for Sula Poole, 88, of Magee, formerly of Vidalia, who died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at Hillcrest Nursing Home, in Magee, will be at 3 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Ted J. Weeks officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Poole was born Nov. 7, 1918, in Strong, Ark., the daughter of Joseph M. and Lucy Dollar Howard. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church in Ferriday.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Steve Louis Poole.

Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Hawes; granddaughter, Beth Varnado, both of Puckett; grandson, Greg Hawes of Brandon; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Katie Reed of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Brown, Ronnie Brown, Buddy Brown, Tommy Varnado, Joey Hawes and Sampson Hawley.
