CENTREVILLE — Services for David Franklin Vine, 46, of Centreville, who died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007 at his residence, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Centreville Methodist Church with the Rev. Cathrone Camp and the Rev. Larry Vine officiating.

Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cenetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Newman Funeral Home in Centreville. Visitation will continue from 1 p.m. until services Tuesday at the Centreville Methodist Church

Mr. Vine was born March 28, 1961, in Centreville, the son of Benny Mason and Prentice Berryhill Vine. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. He served on the town council, alderman for many years and also served as mayor pro-tem. Mr. Vine was an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his father; his brother Mason Vine; grandparents Frank Vine Sr., Eugenia C. Vine, Charles E. Berryhill, Inez Hays Berryhill; two nephews Danny K. Vine, Kenneth J. Vine; and a great-nephew Cole Mason Vine.

Survivors include his mother; brothers, the Rev. Larry K. Vine and wife Carol, both of New Johnsonville, Tenn., and Don Vine and wife, Jeanette, both of Centreville; sisters-in-law Joyce Vine and Linda Vine, both of Centreville; aunts Janet Hodges of Denham Springs, La., and Mary Helen Bruton, of McComb; nephews Lew Vine and wife Debra, Wayne Vine, Rusty Vine, all of Centreville, Carey Vine and wife Tina, both of Paris, Tenn., and Barry Vine, of Fishers, Ind.; nieces Melanie Newman and husband Glenn, both of Smithdale, Clare Reeves and husband Don, both of New Johnsonville, Tenn., Caroline Jelen and husband, Brad, both of Zionsville, Ind., Ellen Vine and Sally Vine, both of Centreville; 10 great-nephews; and 11 great-nieces.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Vine, Carey Vine, Benny Vine, Barry Vine, Lew Vine and Rusty Vine.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Vine, David Nickel, Bob Ross, Mead Mathis, Bubba Lee and Lew Regal.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Centreville United Methodist Church.
