NATCHEZ — Tropical depression Humberto’s remnants passed through the Miss-Lou Thursday dumping heavy rains and prompting a tornado warning.
The warning was issued late Thursday evening for Adams County, but there were no reports of a tornado.
“The warning was issued because the chances of a tornado were greater than a watch,” Executive Assistant of the Civil Defense Department Angela Dyer said.
The National Weather Service in Jackson said the storm should move out of the area before today.
As of 6 Thursday night, the Civil Defense Department reported that 2.13 inches of rain had fallen and only a 20 percent chance remained for more showers.
