MEADVILLE — Ashley N. Junkins, a licensed social worker with Sta-Home Healthcare was elected to the board of directors for Southwest Mississippi Rural Health Coalition.

Junkins will represent Wilkinson County on the board. A joint motion to elect Junkins to the board was made by Earnestine Varnado and Gary M. Knight with a second made jointly by Johnny Lee Smith, Shirley Bullock and Mary Lee Gill. A unanimous vote by coalition members was obtained.

As a regional social worker for Sta-home Health Agency, Ashley has been a coalition member for several years supporting the coalition’s mission of improving the health of our citizens. Junkins replaces Thomas “Russ” Shuckrow on the board. Shuckrow has relocated out-of-state to obtain additional educational credentials.
