BUDE — Graveside services for Edwin Vernon Holland, 56, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at his residence, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Birds Chapel Church of God Cemetery.

Burial will follow under the direction of Riverwood Family Funeral Services in Brookhaven.

Mr. Holland was born April 4, 1951, the son of Bertram Holland and Maggie Allred Holland. Mr. Holland was a carpenter. He served in the U.S. Army and fought in Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother-in-law, Sam Davis.

Survivors include his mother, Maggie Allred Holland; brothers, Roger Holland and wife, Clara, of Meadville, P.G. Holland and wife, Joan, and Phillip Holland, all of Brandon and Wade Holland and wife, Tracy, of Brookhaven; sister, Christine Davis of Brookhaven.
