FERRIDAY — Services for Grace Brabham Serio, 95, who died Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at Riverland Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church with the Rev. Louis Skalar officiating.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum in Ferriday under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today with a Rosary at 6 p.m.
She ws born Nov. 12, 1911, in Amite County. She was a longtime resident of Ferriday, a registered nurse and a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church. She loved flowers and was a former member of the Ferriday Garden Club, the Women’s Club and St. Patrick Altar Society.
Mrs. Serio was preceded in death by her husband Guy R. Serio.
Survivors include her son, Richard Serio of Ferriday; daughters, Grace McCaskill of Monroe, La., Betty Moore of Metairie, La., and Joy Townsend and her husband Buck, both of Esuless, Texas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy Rucker, Ray Routon, Ronnie Freeman, Buck Townsend, Craig White, Marshall Dempsey, Jerry Johns and Julian Glanton. Honorary pallbearers will be Huey Moak, Kyler McNeely, Mack Brabham, Joe Brabham, Jack Brabham, Greg Walsh, Howard Melton Jr., Robert Serio and Randy Walsh.
