RUSTON – Services for Catherine Simmons, 78, of Ruston, formerly of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, in Ruston, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cook Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Holloway officiating.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Simmons was born March 20, 1929, in Port Gibson. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia and for the past few years attended Cook Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellzey “P.E.” Simmons who passed away in 2003.

Survivors include her children, Maru Henry of Downsville and Ellzey Simmons Jr. of Ruston; grandchildren, Cindy Hebert of Downsville, Keith Henry of Denham Springs, Michael Henry of Shreveport, Cullen Simmons and April Simmons of Ruston; great-grandchildren, Garrett Hebert, Pepper Hebert and Jake Simmons.
