GLOSTER — Services for Hazel Estelle Netterville Veal, 89, of Crosby, who died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gloster First Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Clayton Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Veal was born Feb. 11, 1918, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Silas Netterville and Elanora Clayton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Hazel Nelson; son, Preston Veal; and brother, Union Netterville.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. John Veal of Crosby; daughters, Alma Johnson, Rosetta Scott and husband, Arthur, Selenia Mason, Patricia Rogers and Nora Rowe and husband, Earl, all of Baton Rouge, Shirley Hall and Florence Bateaste, both of Crosby; sons, the Rev. David Franklin and wife, Diane, both of Baker, La., John Louis Veal and wife, Faye, both of Franklin County and Willie Veal of Crosby; 58 grandchildren; 134 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
