NATCHEZ — Services for Seawood Dixon, 56, who died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Archie C. Curtis Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church..

Mr. Dixon was born Aug. 1, 1955, in Natchez, the son of Monroe and Ida Johnson Dixon. He was educated in the Natchez-Adams School District and also attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He was employed with Durham School Services and Hudson’s Dirt Cheap at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Thera D. Slack.

Survivors include his children, Angela Durham and husband, Clarence, both of Houston, Francis Adams, Ivan and Renora Dixon, all of Natchez, Derrick Dixon of Oklahoma, Taji Dixon of Baton Rouge and Mallory Smith and husband, Ernest, both of Fort Bragg, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; fiancé’, Cynthia Green; sisters, Ethel Dixon and Brenda Javis and husband, Johnell, all of Natchez; brothers, Monroe Dixon and wife, Diane, both of Middlebrug, Fla. and Charles Dixon of Texas City, Texas; uncle, Sam Dixon and wife, Alice, both of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
