Hilda Golema

BROOKHAVEN – Services for Hilda Rae Golema, 85, of Brookhaven, who died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at Countrybrook Living Center, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Burial will follow at Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery, in Franklin County, under the direction of Brookhaven Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. Golema was born May 13, 1921, in Lincoln County, the daughter of Ike Tarver and Fannie Thornton Tarver. She was a seamstress at Kellwood Company and a clerk at Natchez Children’s Home. Mrs. Golema was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Corrine Beach; brothers, Lloyd Tarver, Roy Tarver and George Tarver; and granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth McClendon .
Survivors include her daughter, Jan McClendon of Brookhaven; grandsons, Jonathan McClendon, Adam McClendon and Aaron McClendon, all of Brookhaven; sisters, Wilda White of Branson, Mo., Bernice Sturgis and Florence Bankston, both of Natchez; brother, Vince Tarver of Lake Charles, La.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
