FERRIDAY – Services for Richard “Todd” Lipscomb, 20, of Vidalia, who died Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. today at the Pentecostal Church of Miss-Lou, in Ferriday, with the Rev. Gary Howington officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Lipscomb was born Oct. 7, 1987, in Baltimore City, Md., the son of James Randall Lipscomb and Rebecca Jane O’Gwin Lipscomb. He was a member of Pentecostal Church of Miss-Lou. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers and motorcycles and hanging out with friends and family. He was a true people-person. He was looking forward to a career in law enforcement.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Richard Lipscomb; maternal grandmother, Mary Virginia O’Gwin; and best friend, Jacob Lafferty.

Survivors include his parents; brothers, Stephen Lipscomb and wife, Mallory, both of New Orleans, Jamie Lipscomb and wife, Krissy, both of Vidalia and Justin Lipscomb and wife, Crystal, both of Liberty; nephew, Gavin Lipscomb; niece, Haley Lipscomb; maternal grandfather, Howard O’Gwin of Natchez; paternal grandparents, Larry and Joyce Westman, both of Vidalia; paternal great-grandmother, Lennie Lipscomb of Hazlehurst; aunts, Debbie Boyd and husband, Peanut, Chris Perkins, Lynn Lipscomb, Gina Byrd and Paula Guillot; uncle, Van O’Gwin and wife, Ljuba; cousins, Brad Boyd, Brandy DiSylvester, Colt Miller, Cody Miller, Cameron Arnold, Milly Wilson, Scott and Max Byrd, Sean, Bean, and Kelly O’Gwin; special friends, Lauren Harper, Ashley Murray and Kristen Kelly.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Lipscomb, Jamie Lipscomb, Max Byrd, Scott Byrd, Ben O’Gwin and Sean O’Gwin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dexter Jonese, Jonathan Carroll, Garrett Hollis, Alex Gossett, Stephen Bryant, Hayden Moffett, Robbie Todd, John McBride and all his friends.
