Ethel Mae Smith

NATCHEZ — Services for Ethel Mae Smith, 69, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at United Baptist Church with the Rev. Shep Bethley officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Smith was born May 25, 1938, in Natchez, the daughter of Lettie Gaines and Herman Smith. She was a housekeeper. She was also a member of United Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death her parents.

Survivors include her son, Arthur Johnson and wife, Rosie, both of Port Gibson; grandchildren, Arthur L. Moore and Sacrenette Moore, both of Dallas, Michael Moore of Natchez, Timothy Moore, Evertte Washington and Lee A. White, all of Oceanside, Calif.; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
