NATCHEZ — Private services for Allene Simpson Eidt, 81, who died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital will be at a later date.

Mrs. Eidt was born Oct. 30, 1926, in Franklin County, the daughter of Manton Simpson and Mattye McCaa Simpson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sam J. Eidt Sr.; two brothers, Jimmy and Winston Simpson and a sister, Kathleen S. Huffman.

Survivors include, her children; Sam J. Eidt Jr., and wife Lucia of Huntsville, Ala., Alleen E. Butler and husband Jewell of Natchez, Steven P. Eidt of North Little Rock, Ak.; six grandsons, Ben and Justin Butler, Chris, Luke, Matthew and Taylor Eidt; granddaughter, Lindsey Eidt; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Eidt; sister, Dot Foster of Natchez, one niece and one nephew.
