MOBILE, Ala. – Graveside services for Jack Verbeck, 68, of Sicily Island, who died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Pine Crest West Cemetery, in Mobile, Ala.

Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Verbeck was born March 2, 1939, in Mobile County, Ala., the son of Louis Jack Verbeck Sr. and Bernell Verbeck.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Charles Verbeck.

Survivors include his son, Chester Louis Verbeck; daughter, Alicia Barron; grandchildren, Brandi Pitt, Cassie Verbeck, Jewel Verbeck, Jeremy Verbeck, Louis Barron and April Barron; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Faye Verbeck.
