FERRIDAY – Services for Belphenia Saulsberry Long, 76, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. today at Harvest Baptist Church, in Ferriday, with the Rev. Willie Birdon officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mrs. Long was born April 21, 1931, in Peck, La., the daughter of Daniel and Pinkey Fields Saulsberry. She was a retired hotel housekeeper. Mrs. Long was a member of New Morning Star Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Long; her parents; stepfather, Solomon Washington; her children, Solomon Ferguson and Zenobia Hawkins; grandchildren, LaToya Brown and Kristal Warner; and former husband and father of her children, the Rev. Willie Warner.

Survivors include her mother, Pinkey Washington of Ferriday; sons, Willie D. Warner and wife, Connie, both of Vidalia, Edward Warner and wife, Mary Lou, Michael Warner and wife, Shelia, all of New Orleans, Gregory Warner and wife, Helen, both of Terrytown, La., Kenneth Warner of Ferriday and Samuel Warner and wife, Cheryl, both of Austin, Texas; daughters, Pinkey Warner of Seattle, Joshuan Warner, Violetta Warner-Whitley and husband, Carl Stewart, both of Vidalia, Ida Thomas and husband, Melvin, both of Hahnville, La., Gwendolyn Robbinson and husband, Jackie, of Newport News, Va. and Shirley Warner-Brown of Ferriday; grandchildren, Zulieka Moore and husband, Anthony, Aletha Nelson and husband, Ronnie, Teicha Woods and husband, James, all of Monroe, La., Daniel Warner of Lakewood, Calif., Ottis Brown of Baton Rouge, LaTressa Hawkins, Karolyn Lee, Cassandra Santiago and husband, Daniel, and Gregory M. Warner, all of Seattle, Eddie D. Tolliver and wife, Machelle, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., attorney Channing Warner and wife, Tamara, Victoria Warner, Gregory Warner Jr., Michael Warner Jr., Sapharre Warner, O’Sheaka V.
