Audrey F. Sanford

FERRIDAY— Services for Audrey F. Sanford, who died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at University Medical Center, in Jackson, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Chase Weeks officiating.

Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ball, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at Young’s Funeral Home.

Ms. Sanford was born Oct. 9, 2007, in Columbia, La., the daughter of Raymond and Vera Griffin Sr. She was a resident of Ferriday. Ms. Sanford was retired from Diamond International and she delivered papers for the Concordia Sentinel for the past 20 years.

Ms. Sanford was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Griffin Sr., and mother, Vera Griffin; son, David Lynn Philips; daughter, Misty Renee Sanford; sister, Jaqueline Jcoung; and brother, Vernon Roy Griffin.

Survivors include four sons, Mike and Cindy Phillips of Byram; Howard and Susan Phillips of Ferriday; Robin G. and Jackie Phillips of Vidalia; daughter, Brenda Murray and Raymond of Summit; brother, Raymond Griffin Jr., Winnfield, La; and two sisters, Shirley Sanders of Witchita, Kan. and Janet E. Tomlinson of Bradenton, Fla. She was also survived by 23 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be Timmy Beatty, Mike Morace, Roy Crelia Jr., Lucien Davis, Dean Bonsall, Mike Trevillion and Travis Wallace.
