NATCHEZ — Services for Vergie C. Mullins, 86, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Ed Temple officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mullins was born Aug. 14, 1921, in Lincoln County, the daughter of Clem and Minnie Hammill Case. She was a member of Jefferson Street United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star-Chapter 75.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde W. Mullins; brothers, Sam Case and Charles Case; and sister, Edith Lloyd.
Survivors include her sons, Wendall Phillip Mullins Sr. and wife, Sandra, both of Shreveport, La., and Max Raymond Mullins Sr. of Natchez; sister, Patsy Reynold of Madison; grandchildren, Wendall Phillip Mullins Jr. and wife, Angela, and William Patrick Mullins and wife, Kristy, all of Shreveport, Elizabeth Mullins Turner and husband, Blake, both of Natchez and Max R. Mullins Jr. of Dawsonville, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Walker and Madeline Mullins and Pearce and Erin Mullins, all of Shreveport, Maggie Mullins of Alexandria, La. and Brittany Funderburg and Brooks Turner, both of Natchez; great-great-grandchild, James Campbell Funderburg of Natchez; and a number of nieces, and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Mullins Jr., Patrick Mullins, Max Mullins Jr., Blake turner, Peter Burns Jr. and Paul Burns.
Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Farnsworth, Bryant Reed, Mike Mullins, Lloyd Gilbert and Parnell Burns.
The family request memorials be made to Jefferson Street United Methodist Church.
