JONESVILLE, La. – Services for Cedrick Levon Hood, 12, of Jonesville, La., who died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at Rapides General Medical Center, in Alexandria, La., will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Block High School Gymnasium, in Jonesville, with the Rev. Dave Mays officiating.

Burial will follow at Moss Grove Cemetery, in Jonesville, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at St. Mary Baptist Church in Jonesville.

Cedrick was born April 13, 1995, in Los Angeles, the son of Gloria Hood Shavers. He was a fifth grade student at Jonesville Junior High School and was a member of St. Mary Baptist Church. He was also a member of the 4-H, D.A.R.E., a junior deacon and a member of the choir.

Survivors include his mother and her husband, George Shavers; sister, Brittany Hodges; grandparents, Juanita Sadler and Raymond King, all of Jonesville; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, classmates and friends.
