Funeral services for Helen Bernice “Boots” Foster, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ferriday, will be 3 p.m. Monday under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Monday at Young’s Funeral Home.
Mrs. Foster was born June 17, 1924 in Utica. She was a resident of Vidalia, a telephone operator and associated with First Baptist Church in Vidalia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Agnes Crawford Martin, husband M. L. “Shorty” Foster, husband E.R. Wilson, brother L.M. Martin Jr. and grandson Justin Collins.
Survivors include daughters Syble and husband Dale Collins of Port Gibson and Debbie Caldwell of Vidalia; sister Ouida Kemp of Raymond; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Eric Collins, Austin Collins, Brian Chelette and Michael Foster.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dusty Collins, Schott Chelette, Gene Johnson and Dale Collins.
