Funeral services for Joseph Michael Stampley, 60, of Natchez, who died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at his residence will be at 1.pm. Monday at Vidalia Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Clyde Ray Webber officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until services at the church.
Mr. Stampley was born June 30, 1947 in Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a meteorologist for 12 years and was a member of the Vidalia Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his brother John Clark Stampley.
Survivors include daughters Jodi Stampley and Danielle Stampley, both of Vidalia; son Eric Stampley and wife Stephanie, of Baton Rouge; parents Walter L. and Lamathell Stampley, of Vidalia; sister Mary Evelyn Cupit, of Vidalia; grandchildren Erika Brown and Cad e Stampley.
Pallbearers will be Julius Huhn, Henry Sugg, Jimmy Myers, Jerry Harrison, Donnie Melton and Jamie Jackson.
