NATCHEZ – Services for Larry D. “Cat Daddy” Woods, 52, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Milford Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Alsworth officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Woods was born Oct. 8, 1955, in Natchez, the son of Rosie Lee Rice and Robert Woods. He attended Natchez-Adams Public Schools and was a former custodian at Kroger and Woolco. He was a Baptist and a member of Milford Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother; two daughters, Jermeka Sylvester of Jacksonville, Fla. and Challessa Jackson of Las Vegas; two sisters, Virgie Montgomery of Natchez and Audrey Woods of Kenner, La.; eight brothers, Edgar Woods and wife, Delores, Andrew Woods and wife, Alma, Will T. Woods, Albert Woods and wife, Mary, Emmitt Woods, Robert Woods and Patrick Woods and wife, Sharon, all of Natchez, and Ernest Johnson and wife, Ollie, both of Chicago; two grandchildren, Robert Simmons III and Ivana Simmons, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a number of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and friends.
