NATCHEZ — Services for Clara Evans Smith, 105, of Ferriday, who died Feb. 7, 2008, at Promise Specialty Hospital in Ferriday, will at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. James Baptist Church in Frogmore, La., with the Rev. L.B. Oliver officiating.
Burial will follow at the National Cemetery in Natchez.
Visitation will be this evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at Concordia Funeral Home.
Ms. Smith was born Dec. 15, 1902, in Sicily Island, La., the daughter of Matilda Evans. She was a retired housekeeper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Smith, a WWI veteran, and all of her siblings.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Green; two daughters, Estelle Williams and Elizabeth Harbor all of Ferriday; 15 grandchildren; a number of great and great-great grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews.
