MARKSVILLE, La. — Graveside services for Cathy Sue Allred Vead, 50, of Marksville, La., who died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, in Marksville, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fifth Ward Cemetery, in Marksville.
Burial will follow under the direction of Kramer Funeral Home in Marksville.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Vead was born June 26, 1957, in Natchez, the daughter of Tommie and Fay Allred. She was a 1974 graduate of Vanderberg Air Force Base in Lompac, Calif. She was employed with Cenla Counseling Services in Alexandria, La. She was affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America for many years.
She was preceded in death by her father; maternal grandparents, John Earl and Catherine Barron; and paternal grandparents, Luther and Ethel Allred.
Survivors include her mother, Fay Allred; three sons, John Michael Moak and wife, Cathy, and Matthew Ash and wife, Holly, all of Marksville and Scott Moak and wife, Shawn, both of Denham Springs, La.; two grandchildren, Nathan Moak and Bailey Sue Moak; two brothers, John Allred and wife, Ann, both of Calhoun, Ga., and Paul Allred and wife, Jan, both of Vidalia; three nephews, Gabe and Seth Allred and Shan Hillburn; two nieces, Ashley Allred and Brittany Hillburn; and a number of friends who loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed. Her greatest loves were her sons and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Community Chapel Church of God building fund.
