FERRIDAY – Services for Amanda LaBlanche Oliver, 76, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home, in Ferriday, with the Rev. Noah Marshall officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Oliver was born Aug. 26, 1931, in St. Joseph, La., the daughter of Percy L. Craft and Florence Kimball Craft. She was a homemaker and a member of Ferriday United Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Oliver Sr.; her parents; three sisters, Willie Mae Bryant, Bobbie Stone and Adrienne Ballard; one granddaughter, Whitney Oliver Butts; and one daughter-in-law, Roberta Sholar Oliver.
Survivors include one son, Billy Oliver of Tulsa, Okla.; two daughters, Sandra M. Peavy and husband, Floyd, both of Ferriday and Gloria Oliver Marshall and husband, Noah, both of Tulsa; one brother, Donnie Craft of Ridgecrest; three sisters, Kay Laird of Vidalia, Joyce Jones of Ferriday and Yvonne Piercy of Knoxville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Kristi Peavy Sanders, Skipper Peavy, Jarrod Marshall, Jamison Marshall and Trey Oliver; and five great-grandchildren, Tyler Sanders, Dakota Sanders, Eric Sanders, Madison Peavy and Abby Peavy.
