Johnny Mayberry

NATCHEZ – Services for Johnny “Nonie” Mayberry, 76, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Rock (New Beginnings) Baptist Church with the Rev. LeRoy White officiating.
Burial will follow at Leesdale Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Mayberry was born March 16, 1931, in Adams County, the son of William Mayberry and Leola Calcote Mayberry. He was a member of St. Peter Rock Baptist Church. Mr. Mayberry was a former oil field worker with Buck Denny and Johnson Petroleum.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one son, Johnny Mayberry Jr. and wife, Angela, both of Natchez; two daughters, Johnalynn Mayberry Alexander and husband, John, both of Chesapeake, Va. and Euphemia Holloway of Mesquite, Texas; six grandchildren; two special friends, Maisie Mayberry and Juanita Mayberry, both of Natchez; one sister, Mattie Ford of Natchez; one brother, Fraz Mayberry and wife, Mary, both of Florence; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Lee McNeil, Tim Williams, Marcus Miller, Keldrick Jackson, Fred Mayberry and Antonio Thomas.
