Suspect in Dec. 11 shooting turns self in

VIDALIA — A Natchez man who allegedly shot another man turned himself in to authorities late Tuesday afternoon.
Johnny T. Martin, 38, 29 Ratcliff Road, Natchez, was booked on charges of aggravated second-degree battery.
Martin is a suspect in a Dec. 11 shooting in Concordia Parish in which a 24-year-old man from Chipley, Fla., was shot once in the right leg, Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Kathleen Stevens said.
The incident happened on Doyle Road, in the Country Estates Trailer Park, near Vidalia, where the victim was visiting a friend.
Martin turned himself in after warrants were secured for his arrest.
Martin is being detained on a $15,000 bond.
