WATERPROOF, La. – Services for Edna Johnson Sparks, 90, of Houston, formerly of Waterproof, La., who died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2008, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cypress Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jonetta Prater officiating.
Burial will follow at Good Samaritan Cemetery, in Waterproof, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Sparks was born April 22, 1917, in Minden, La., the daughter of Robert and Mary Chatman Johnson. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include six sons; eight daughters; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
