BROOKHAVEN – Graveside services for Jean Deloris Smith, 83, who died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookhaven.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Miss Smith was born April 11, 1924, in Brookhaven, the daughter of William Ed Smith Sr. who served as Sheriff and Chief of Police in Broohaven and Lincoln County and Florence Thames Smith.
She was retired after having worked her entire career for Smith Insurance Agencey owned by Andrew and Monelle Smith, her sister and brother-in-law.
Miss Smith was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mildred Smith, Hazel Krogfoss, Monelle Smith; and brothers, Terrell Smith and W. Ed Smith Jr.
Survivors include Jock G. Smith and wife, Laura, both of Lorman, William Smith of Lorman, Ann Coggeshall and Brent Coggeshall, both of Denver, Colo., Jean Enrico and husband, Robert and Kim Krogfoss, all of Long Beach, Calif.
