FERRIDAY – Services for Kenneth Auld Sr., 76, of Clayton, La., who died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Tate officiating.
Burial will follow at Central Cemetery, in Wisner, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Auld was born Dec. 30, 1931, in Oklahoma, the son of Arthur Auld and Bonnie Auld. He was a retired oil field worker and a member of the Vidalia Church of Christ. Mr. Auld also served his country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sons, Kenny Bill Auld, Kenneth Auld Jr., and Terry Auld; two brothers, Otis Auld and Clinton Auld; and one sister, Lillian Jo Thacker.
Survivors include one son, Rodney Auld of Velma, Okla.; six daughters, Connie Misita, Tina Odgen and Deana Walker, all of Clayton, Karen Edwards and Ragenia Forman, both of Ferriday, and Michelle Auld of Velma, Okla.; five sisters, Cleota Faye Hartfielder of New York City, Laverne Dennis of Oklaunion, Texas, Nancy Norton of Duncan, Okla., Linda Flowers of Roanoke, Texas, and Goleta Flowers of Newark, Texas; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Matt Evans, Andy Evans, Daryle Walker II, Daryle Walker, Jonathan Walker and Boweevil Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney W. Auld and Mike M. Pounds.
