ST. JOSEPH, La. — Wilkinson County Christian Academy scored four runs in the top of the second inning, which turned out be big as the Rams defeated the Chiefs 9-4 Thursday afternoon in an MPSA District 6-A game.

Those four runs gave WCCA (7-5, 2-0) a 5-0 lead going into the bottom of the second inning. Tensas Academy (0-2 in District 6-A) scored three runs in the bottom of the second to cut the lead to 5-3. But the two-run deficit would be as close as the Chiefs would get the rest of the game.

The Rams had a 6-4 lead after six innings of play before putting the game out of reach with three runs in the top of the seventh. George Davis led their nine-hit attack by going 2-for-4 with a double. Corey Havard went 2-for-3 and Brennan Bush hit a home run.
