NATCHEZ – Services for Leon Jones, 75, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at the Veterans Administration Hospital, in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin White officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mr. Jones was born in Wilkinson County, the son of Turner and Loretta Jones. He attended St. Francis Catholic School and was retired from Ford Motor Company. Mr. Jones served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1955. He was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and two brothers.
Survivors include two sisters, Barbara Washington and Hazel Crawford, both of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
