FERRIDAY – Services for Joyce Marie Payne Marsh, 70, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at her residence, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ferriday Church of God with the Rev. Paul Burress officiating.
Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. at Epps Cemetery, in Epps, La., under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. Marsh was born April 7, 1937, in Holly Ridge, La., the daughter of Walter O. and Tinnie Belle C. Payne. She was a resident of Vidalia for over 20 years and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Marsh was a member of the Ferriday Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Buddy Payne.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest L. Marsh; eight daughters, Brenda Sanders of Texas, Vickie Castillo and husband, David, both of South Carolina, Rebecca Sims and husband, Billy, both of Epps, La., Tina Hutchinson and husband, Floyd, both of Lake Providence, La., Nina Adams and husband, Ted, Pauline McElwee and husband, Keith, Renee Marceleno and husband, Rodney, and Lynn Johnese and husband, Mark, all of Vidalia; one brother, Charlie Payne of Monroe, La., three sisters, Eloise Autenberry and Peggy Hamilton, both of Atlanta, and Fran Philley of Epps; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Philley, Stacy Philley, Paul Philley, Rodney Smitherman, Kevin Brown and Travis McElwee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Hutchinson, Trey Hitt and Anthony Donahue.
