STEWART – Services for Jake Lane, 73, of Natchez, who died Saturday, March 22, 2008, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Piney Grove Baptist Church, in Stewart, with the Rev. Dexter Simmons officiating.
Burial will follow at Sarepta Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Lane was born April 29, 1935, the son of Henry and Mary Ella Lane. He was employed as a longshoreman and was retired. Mr. Lane was a deacon at Murray’s Temple Church of God and Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Lane; two sisters and six brothers; and grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family and members of the church.
