RIDGECREST – Memorial services for Billy G. Jackson, 77, of Ridgecrest, who died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. today at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Bros. Don Bush, Preston Holder and Noah Langley officiating.
Mr. Jackson was born Nov. 16, 1930, in Goodpine, La., the son of Guy Matthew and Rachel Amelia Love Jackson. Mr. Jackson served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a service manager of Guice Chevrolet before retiring in 1996. He was an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Guy Jackson and Bobby Jackson; and one sister, Fern Cross.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mary Sue Jackson; two daughters, Billie Jean Byrd and husband, Gary, and Penny Whittington and husband, Milton, all of Natchez; four grandchildren, Ashley Atkins of Monroe, La., Adam Whittington and wife, Jessica, both of Richland, Tres Atkins of Starkville and Kayce Whittington of Natchez; two great-grandchildren, Justin Whittington and Jordan Whittington, both of Richland; special friends, William Seyfarth, Paul Harris and Tommy Barron; two nieces, Catherine Ingram of Zachary, La. and Patsy Loftan of Clinton, La.; and two nephews, George Jackson of Ridgecrest and Edwin Jackson of Vidalia.
