SHEBOYGAN, Wisc. – Services for Marion M. Gartman Voigt, 87, of Sheboygan, Wisc., who died Monday, April 7, 2008, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fountain Park United Methodist Church, in Sheboygan, with the Revs. Kerry Wilson and Tom White officiating.
Burial will be at Wildwood Cemetery Monday, April 14, 2008, under the direction Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, WI 53080, telephone 920-452-7711.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Voigt was born May 27, 1920, in Sheboygan, the daughter of Hugo A. and Elisa M. Jankow Gartman. She attended Sheboygan City Schools and graduated from Sheboygan High School in 1938. Following high school, she earned her degree in cosmetology. She was united in marriage to William R. Voigt May 1, 1946 at First Evangelical United Brethren Church in Sheboygan. Mrs. Voigt was a member of Fountain Park United Methodist Church and was a children’s Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed sewing and knitting for her family, was a cook and was a “prayer warrior.”
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Hugo F. Gartman and Robert C. Gartman; and one sister, Eleanor Meinke.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years; two daughters, Sue Ann Wilt and husband, Carl, both of Natchez and Donna Kay DeZwarte and husband, Mark, both of Sheboygan; one granddaughter, Martha Ann Krause and husband, Brian, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one step-granddaughter, Carla Messer and Mike Helmkamp, both of Cincinnati; one step-great-grandson, Seth Messer; one brother-in-law, George Meinke of Adrian, Mich.; one sister-in-law, Flora Gartman of Loudon, N.H.; one niece, Gail Markiewicz and husband, Arthur; and three nephews, Roger Meinke and wife, Pam, Michael Meinke and Tom Meinke and wife, Evelyn.
