WINCHESTER, TENN. — Services for Vaughn Allen “Buddy” Williams, 85, of Belvidere, Tenn., who died Thursday, April 17, 2008, at Southern Tennessee Skilled Care, were 3 p.m. Sunday at the Belvidere First United Church of Christ with the Rev. James Dale Barrington officiating.
Burial followed at Maxwell Cemetery in Belvidere, under the direction of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
Visitation was 5 p.m. Saturday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Williams was born in Haleyville, Ala., in 1923, to Vaughn Rufus and Alice Brakefield Williams. He was a naval veteran of World War II and was employed as a safety manager.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dorothy Grant Williams.
Survivors include one son, Davis Williams and wife Lynn, of Clarksville, Tenn.; one daughter, Gina Buckley and husband Larry, of Natchez; two granddaughters, Kristi Williams and companion Jill Spaulding, of Raleigh, N.C., and Aimee Harmon and husband Rusty, of Knoxville, Tenn.; and great-grandchild Bryce Harmon, of Knoxville.
