NATCHEZ – Services for James D. “Jim” Anders, of Crosby, who died Thursday, April 24, 2008, at his residence, will be 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with Dr. Jason Cole and the Rev. Wayne Spencer officiating.
Burial will follow at Perrytown Family Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Anders was born Dec. 11, 1942, in Wilkinson County, the son of Jewel D. and Mary Perry Anders. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and was a member of the adult 5 Sunday school class and an ordained deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard Lee Anders.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Freeman Anders; one daughter, Kathy A. McCoy and husband, Ed, both of Hattiesburg; two sons, Del Anders and wife, Sonya, both of Brookhaven, and Rusty Anders and wife, Lori, both of Eros, La.; and eight grandchildren, Eddie, Ashley and Jamie McCoy, all of Hattiesburg, Lane, Molly and Melinda Anders, all of Brookhaven, and David and Michael Anders, both of Eros.
Pallbearers will be Del Anders, Lane Anders, Ed McCoy, Ray Freeman, Ed Eubanks and Lothian Smallwood.
Memorials may be made to the Natchez Children Home.
