FERRIDAY – Services for Victor “Scrap” Jones, 53, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Baton Rouge General Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Justin Conner officiating.
Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Jones was born March 4, 1955, in Ferriday, the son of Amos and Mattie Carroll Jones of Clayton.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his father; two daughters, Christie Jackson and Shonda Jackson, both of Baton Rouge; one son, Donald Jackson of Morgan City, La.; four stepchildren, Myrna Mason of Cartersville, Ga., Tressie Jackson of Baton Rouge, Shelia Addison of Fontana, Calif., and Tanya Lewis of Denver; his companion, Odessa Jackson of Ferriday; one special sister, Minnie P. Patrick of Baton Rouge; seven other sisters; six brothers; one special aunt, Mamir Carroll of Ferriday; and four grandchildren.
