NATCHEZ — A Natchez native may appear on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition that airs from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Kendra Hinson, a student at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary getting her master’s degree in Christian education, volunteered to help build a home for the Usea family in New Orleans.

It was advertised around campus, her mother Jeannie Dickey said, and doing charitable things for others is Hinson’s cup of tea.

That’s how she ended up working on the house.

Dickey said Hinson worked from start to finish on the house but was not able to attend the unveiling of the house to the family.
