Just wanted to drop a line and say congratulations to The Democrat staff on their recent awards. We in the Miss-Lou are truly blessed to have a newspaper that receives such recognition from your peers each year and especially this year for the fine work that you do on a daily basis.

The proof is in the pudding. Don’t say you can cook, let me taste it first. Your productivity far exceeds any public relations that you receive on negative slant.

Surely I don’t always agree with what you put in the paper, but as my oldest son George III always reminds me “somebody has to tell the story.”

So, I salute you and commend you for standing by your guns, contrary to opinion rumors. You have stayed the course, stayed steadfast and courageous and for that you are due super kudos.

Just wanted to drop a line as a bona fide lifelong resident of Natchez and Adams County. Keep up the good work. Don’t be complacent and strive to do better work.
