NATCHEZ – Services for Donis I. Madison, 94, of Natchez, who died Thursday, May 22, 2008, will be at 1 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with Dr. Edgar Wright officiating.
Burial will follow at East Haven Cemetery, in Brookhaven, under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Madison was born Oct. 13, 1913, in Franklin County, the daughter of Hugh B. Sr. and Martha Purvis Impson.
Mrs. Madison was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.H. Madison; and a grandson, Jay Madison.
Survivors include four sons, J.H. Madison Jr. of Cleveland, Tenn., Jackie L. Madison of Dallas, Joseph G. Madison of Mobile, Ala., and Jerome Madison of Summit; two daughters, Dolores Segest of Brookhaven and Ramona Mardis of Natchez; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Marguerite King of Meadville, and one brother, Hugh B. Impson Jr. of Stevenson, Wash.
Pallbearers will be Allen and Lee Mardis, Mike and Jeff Madison, and Randy and Jimmy Ray.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Segest, Tyler Madison and Jamie Madison.
