BROOKHAVEN – Services for Charles Warren Shelton, 57, of McBride, who died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at his residence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Brookhaven Funeral Home,
Burial will follow at the Shelton family cemetery under the direction of Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Shelton was born July 9, 1950, in Vicksburg, the son of Charles B. Shelton Jr. and Mary Lucille Warren Shelton. He was employed with Marathon LeTourneau, in Vicksburg, for 23 years and was a poultry farmer for 16 years.
Mr. Shelton was a member of Blue Hill Methodist Church. He was an active member of the Blue Hill Hunting Club and was hunt master of the club.
He was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Charlie B. Shelton and Velma Shelton and Fred and Mae Warren.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Faye Thorpe Shelton; three sons, Charles Warren Shelton Jr. and wife, Patty, and Michael Seth Shelton, all of McBride, and Jason Baldwin Shelton and wife, Mandy, both of Wesson; his mother; two grandchildren, Lucas Baldwin Shelton and Warren Channell Shelton; two brothers, Freddie Barrett Shelton and wife, Katie Ruth, both of McBride, and Eddie Early Shelton and wife, Libby, both of Meadville; two sisters, Ginger Shelton Copeland and Lloyd, both of Tifton, Ga., and Mary Velma Spears of Brookhaven; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
