PARHAMS, La. – Services for Dolly JoAnn Cureington Hutchins, 91, of Parham, La., who died Thursday, May 29, 2008, in Jena, La., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Parhams Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Ganey and the Rev. Larry Doughty officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. Hutchins was born July 30, 1916, in LaSalle Parish, La., the daughter of Aaron G. and Mary Louise S. Cureington. She was a resident of Parhams for 73 years and she was a homemaker. She was a member of Parhams Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the Women’s Missionary Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Bobby Hutchins; one granddaughter, Denise Evans; and two sisters, Ruby McBroom and Verdia Bray.
Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Elvin Hutchins; one daughter, Bonnie Hamilton of Parhams; three sons, Ed Hutchins and wife, Bobbie, and Randy Hutchins, all of Parhams, and Roger Hutchins and wife, Billie, both of Jonesville; 10 grandchildren, Brenda Weeks and husband, David, David Hutchins and wife, Lisa, Debbie Wiggins, Dexter Hutchins and wife, Tracy, all of Vidalia, Linda Hamilton of Monroe, La., Michael Hutchins of Natchez, Debbie Estes and husband, Gary, both of Manifest, La., Renee Tyler and husband, Randall, both of Pineville, La., Luke Hutchins of Antlers, Okla., and Aaron Hutchins of Parhams; 20 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Luke Hutchins, Aaron Hutchins, David Hutchins, Dexter Hutchins, Mike Hutchins and Chase Weeks.
