LEAKESVILLE (AP) — A former junior high school teacher must serve 10 years in prison after pleading guilty in Greene County Circuit Court to a charge of child exploitation.
The district attorney’s office says 28-year-old Damien G. Henderson entered the plea Thursday and was sentenced to 20 years in jail with 10 suspended. After his release, he must serve 10 years of post-release supervision and register as a sex offender.
Henderson pleaded guilty to sending sexually explicit text messages on Dec. 18, 2006, to a student at Greene County High School. Authorities say he offered to meet with the victim to engage in sex acts.
