Jindal should veto lawmaker raise

Here we go again, some actual reform in Louisiana by the awful legislature actually occurs, but then the good old boys just have to go back to their greedy corrupt ways. They want a $34,000 annual raise. Not a Cola, not 10 percent, but 200 percent and all at once.

The worst thing about this nonsense is Gov. Bobby Jindal — who is the last hope for true conservatism — has come forth to say he will not veto this raise bill.

This is wrong; this is dumb; this is not leadership; this is not conservatism; this is not why you were elected.

His reasoning is the royal legislators will have an excuse to prevent the many other vital state reforms on his agenda. Hey Bobby, so what?

You really think the voters buy that lame excuse?

If your goal was to make the sleazy legislators happy you could have stayed in Congress and let a big spending Democrat do that.

You get rolled once and you will embolden the shameless good ole boys.

Thanks a yahoo. Its going to take a world of good reforms to have any chance of restoring your image after this “business as usual” greasing up of the usual suspects.

There are no excuses.
