Clayton man arrested for assault with a board

FERRIDAY — A Clayton man is behind bars after allegedly assaulting a man with a board.
Cedric L. Walker, 40, 111 Griffen St., Clayton, was arrested on charges of second-degree aggravated assault Monday.
Walker allegedly hit another man in the leg with a two-by-four board, reportedly breaking the victim’s leg, Ferriday Police Chief Margaret Lawrence said.
The victim was treated at Natchez Regional Medical Center and has since been released, Lawrence said.
Walker was detained without bond by the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Tuesday.
