NATCHEZ – Services for Anne Louise “Bit” Wilson Valentine, 80 of Natchez, who died Monday, June 23, 2008, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Very Rev. Zabron A. Davis III officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time at the church.
Mrs. Valentine was born Nov. 1, 1927, in Natchez, the daughter of Hall Watkins Wilson and Annie Louise Bost Wilson. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Mrs. Valentine was a member of the Natchez Garden Club and Historic Natchez Foundation. She owned and operated Treasures Unlimited Gift Shop and authored one novel and several publications. Mrs. Valentine was a graduate of Natchez High School and attended Agnes Scott College in Georgia.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Baker Valentine; two children, Gary Robert Valentine, of Natchez, and Roanne Valentine Tipton and husband, Mark, both of Mandeville, La.; three grandsons, Russell Chandler Tipton, Alan Wilson Tipton and Connor Bost Tipton; one brother, Hall W. Wilson of Lake St. John; one sister, Margaret Wilson O’Ferrall of Natchez; three nieces, Louise Card, Cindy Gould and Amanda Lee; one nephew, Larry O’Ferrall; and special friend and caregiver, Augustine Floyd.
Pallbearers will be Ron Jinkins, Gene Laird, Anthony Tuccio, Bradley Harrison, Gerry Winters and Woody Allen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Kuehnle Jr., Dr. Bruce Kuehnle Sr., Walter Heard and Francis Martin.
Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Natchez Children’s Home or to a charity of choice.
