NATCHEZ – A memorial mass for Amelia Boschieri Reed, of Natchez, who died Saturday, July 5, 2008, at Promise Hospital, in Ferriday, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Basilica.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Reed was born Sept. 22, 1915, in Natchez, the daughter of Edward Joseph Boschieri and Mary Goldfi Boschieri. She was retired from South Central Bell after 35 years of service as a telephone operator.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis Curtis Reed; two brothers, Buck Boschieri and Louis Boschieri; and three sisters, Ernesta Bergeron, Zelinda Martello and Rose Rushing.
Survivors include one daughter, Mimi Maier and husband, Pat; four grandsons, Paul Maier and wife, Elodie, Reed Maier, Jim Maier and wife, Katrina, and Lee Maier and wife, Leasa; five great-grandchildren, Garrett Maier, Curtis Maier, Alisabeth Maier, Alex Keyes and Kyla Clary; one sister, Lucy Currie; and two special caregivers, Ethel Griffin and Linda Green.
Mrs. Reed was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cathedral School Development Fund or Cathedral School Fund for Excellence in Education.
