NATCHEZ — Among deep dish pizzas and salad bars at a local Pizza Hut a fugitive has lurked for weeks.
Calvin Williams, 45, 1305 LaFayette St., Natchez, was arrested on Thursday by the Metro Narcotics Unit.
“The United States Marshal Service works closely with the Metro Narcotics Unit, and if they have any suspected people in the area that they have warrants on, they e-mail (us) the warrants,” Metro Narcotics Unit Cmdr. Cliff Cox said.
Cox said the unit received the e-mail and began their investigation and discovered he worked at Pizza Hut.
The warrant was a felony drug charge from Harrison County.
Williams is being held at the Adams County Sheriff’s Office until he is extradited.
“The marshals will come and pick him up and take him back to the jurisdiction that he’s wanted out of,” Cox said.
